Object - Category Selection Edition Page

Purpose

This screen handles some database update tasks in workflows involving the Category Selector and Object Selector. It will replace these last two screens in the pop-up window just before the user closes it, so it doesn't really have a user interface worth describing.

Getting There...

From the Category Selector

Reach the Category Selector in 'link' mode, for instance by clicking on the Add action link from the Object - Category Edition Page.
In the Category Selector, select the category you're looking for by clicking on its name.
The feedback screen that will tell you that the requested action was successfully carried out is the Object - Category Sel. Edition Page.

From the Object Selector

Reach the Object Selector by clicking on the Link action link from the INXtree Browser.
In the Object Selector, select the object you're looking for by clicking on its ID.
The feedback screen that will tell you that the requested action was successfully carried out is the Object - Category Sel. Edition Page.

Supported actions

The Object - Category Selection Edition Page supports the following actions:

Insert: creates a new link between the specified INXtree node (aka category) and the object being selected or edited.
Update: modifies an existing link between the specified INXtree node (aka category) and the object being selected or edited.
Delete: removes the link between the specified INXtree node (aka category) and the object being selected or edited. No further confirmation is required.
