Libraries List

Purpose

This screen is used to browse the entire Libraries list.

This screen also serves as the main entry point to the creation and edition of individual Libraries.

Getting There...

The Libraries List is not available straight from the Main Application Menu. To reach it:

From the Main Application Menu (or indeed almost any other Project Hirtius page), click on the "Manage Sources" () or "Manage Books" () icon in the header.
Scroll to the bottom of the page. Click on the Libraries link located between the Sources List or Books and Articles List and the page footer. This gets you to the Libraries List.

Fields

Each entry in the list will use the following layout:

library_id

name

zip city (country)

catURL

#Items

[actions]

For the description, format and meaning of each field, please refer to the Libraries Edition Page. The column before last displays a sum count of Book and Source records that are linked to the library in question.

Library actions

For each Library in the list, the first and last columns of its row contain links that correspond to actions to be performed on the Library object.

Library ID: the Library ID (left-most column) is a link that opens the Libraries Edition Page in view mode for the selected Library.
Edit: opens the Libraries Edition Page in edit mode for the selected Library.
Del: opens the Libraries Edition Page in delete confirmation mode for the selected Library. You can then confirm to proceed with the deletion or cancel it and return to the list. Please note that you can't remove a Library record unless no Book or Source record references it. The delete confirmation message will make that clear.

In addition to this, a global action is available on the last row (bottom right corner) of the list:

Add: opens the Libraries Edition Page in add mode (displays a blank HTML form to be filled in order to create a new Library record).

Related pages menu

At the bottom of the page, between the Libraries list and the page footer, a small secondary menu is located that will give you access to pages related to the task at hand (such as Library cards management), pages that are not directly reachable through the header toolbar.
